Emme, Sophie, Ethan, and Carter are seniors at a performing arts school, getting ready for their Senior Showcase recital, where the pressure is on to appeal to colleges, dance academies, and professionals in show business. For Sophie, a singer, it’s been great to be friends with Emme, who composes songs for her, and to date Carter, soap opera heartthrob who gets plenty of press coverage. Emme and Ethan have been in a band together through all four years of school, but wonder if they could be more than just friends and bandmates.

Carter has been acting since he was a baby, and isn’t sure how to admit that he’d rather paint than perform. The Senior Showcase is going to make or break each of the four, in a funny, touching, spectacular finale that only Elizabeth Eulberg could perform.

I was excited to get Elizabeth Eulberg’s newest book, Take a Bow. I loved Prom and Prejudice, so I couldn’t wait to get my hands on her latest book. Once I opened this book up, I couldn’t put it down. Elizabeth Eulberg has such a fresh voice. Her characters seem so real, and I think I can pick out someone in my life that matches each one in this book. Boe someone who not only studied music but taught it, I love books that capture the emotional aspect of being a musician or any type of performer.

Music and performing is all about emotion. There are highs and lows, competition, and selfishness all of which Ms. Eulberg manages to convey through her characters. I loved that she chose to elizabetb from four different points of view. I think that makes the book so special I can’t get over how well-rounded this book was.

It would have been a completely different book had we read entirely eylberg Sophie or Emme’s point of view. I loved Carter and Ethan’s characters just as much. Eulberg really succeeded showing the teenage boy point of view in a real way. Sometimes, it is hard for me to read from a male point of view but in this case I found the transitions seamless.

I cannot recommend this book enough. Take a Bow by Elizabeth Eulberg has been one of those books I have been excited about since the first day I heard about it. Take a Bow was every bit as magical as I was hoping for. Elizabeth Eulberg has written another masterpiece, and I cannot wait to see what is next for her. I love any books dealing with performing and music, but it was really neat eulbrg Elizabeth Eulberg incorporated four different points of views.

That brought the story to another level, since I just love any book that does multiple point of views well. Following the stories of four teens at a performing arts school is about as cool of a story as one can get, and I loved following the drama and the ups and downs of their every day life.

Elizabeth Eulberg has an almost musical quality about her writing — it is just beautiful. I was instantly drawn in to the story — I could scarcely put it down.

Take a Twke was one of those books that I carried with me everywhere, and finished it in one day. Elizabeth Eulberg nailed all the characters. I just loved the rest of the characters. Ethan, Carter, Jack, and Ben were too awesome. They were some of the best friends you could ever ask for.

Emme was such a well written character and was a character who I think everyone can relate to in some way. Emme has a lot of insecurities and I found myself relating to her a lot. And Ethan — I could not get enough of his elizabeeth of view. I just had no words upon finishing this one. I loved Take a Yake even more than Prom and Prejudice, which is saying a lot. I was completely entranced by Take a Bow from page one, and was sad to have finished, as I know that means waiting another year for another Elizabeth Eulberg book.

Take a Bow is one of the best books of the year, and one you will be sad to miss. Take a Bow by Elizabeth Eulberg was my first book by Elizabeth Eeulberg, although I have desperately been pining to read her others. And I loved Take a Bow! It was one of those books that you put down with a huge grin on your face and a feeling of contentment so awesome you kind of just want to hug yourself.

Take a Bow featured a multitude of characters, each with eulgerg own POV, but it didn’t throw me off the story at all. The characters all had such varied personalities and lives that I really wanted to get the inside look on their thoughts and what was elizaveth with them, so I actually really liked the POV switching in Take a Bow, and that’s not something I normally enjoy.

I really loved the inside look Take a Bow sort of gave on performing art schools. Performing art schools have always been this concept for me that’s hard to grasp, but Elizabeth Eulberg did an excellent job at incorporating the various ins and outs that come with it into the story.

And, of course, with every fabulous contemporary, there’s a romance in the making! I was definitely rooting for it from page one or a few pages in, at least of Take a Bow and I’m bos pleased with how everything worked out.

For all the characters, actually. I mean, not all of the characters ended up with a picture perfect ending in Take a Bow, which felt more realistic to me – vow yet, again, Eulbetg ended Take a Bow with a huge grin on my face.

Take a Bow by Elizabeth Eulberg Book Reviews

If you’re looking for a cute and engaging, and yet inspirational contemporary, look no further! Definitely pick up Take a Bow by Elizabeth Eulberg. It’s light and hopeful, filled with a wide variety characters that I loved getting to know. What a wonderful, well-written and entertaining book! I love it when an author is able to write a book with more than one characters point of view – and in this story, we get FOUR of them!

Four realistic characters that are fun, quirky and ambitious. And Elizabeth Eulberg nails it! Not once did I get confused as to who was talking or what was going on and it made the story flow so swiftly and perfectly – I loved it! Meet our four headliners Emme is a very talented songwriter who works hard and is very organized. But her lack of confidence and unsupportive friend keeps her from fully coming out of her shell to sing and steal the spotlight Sophie is the singer.

She knows that shes got it all and will do anything to get what she wants and make it taek the way to the top. Ethan is swoon worthy but as a songwriter, he feels that he needs to create eulbegr and chaos in order to write his songs, unlike Emme who writes from the heart. And last, but wlizabeth not least, Carter aka the child actor. He’s been there already and no longer has the drive to continue being an actor and wants to be able to just be himself and finally do what he really loves to do.

It was amazing to see how their senior year unfolds – who grows and learns from their mistakes, and who doesn’t. Most of all, what I loved was being able to live vicariously through all of these characters – I am no songwriter, not an aspiring actress tkae definitely cannot hold a note even if my life depended on it, lol; but, at some point in our lives, we have all dreamed about it.

And Elizabeth definitely gave me my spotlight! Fame – will enjoy and devour this book over and over again! It’s a must read! Star ratings in yellow are from our Staff Reviewers. Star ratings in green are reader reviews. Anyone can post a reader review, so post yours today!
