The work of the influential 20th-century inwaed teacher Krishnamurti — is filled with paradoxes: Philosophy is an escapesaid the man whom the Dalai Lama called one of the age’s greatest philosophers. This compilation of lectures sounds again and again Krishnamurti’s key themes: Throw away what was the past and what should be the ideal in order to perceive through direct observation what is occurring each day and in each experience. Look inside to learn how the mind works and thereby change the world.

While Krishnamurti asserts “there is no path to truth,” many 20th-century Eastern spiritual teachers followed Krishnamurti’s path in popularizing mysticism and meditation in krishamurti West. The origin of this book in lectures makes it inawrd at times, although those new to Krishnamurti may find that repetition helpful in clarifying themes.

Krishnamurti’s influence spread via his talks throughout the world, so the flavor of his oral teaching, in all its provocation, is preserved.

Krishnamurti may be too abstract for some; this book will best suit those interested in the intersection of philosophy and Eastern spirituality. This new collection of teachings explores this crucial question with great freshness, clarity, and a profound understanding of the intimate link between inward and outward transformation.

This magnificent contribution to the body of Krishnamurti’s teachings will be invaluable for both beginners and seasoned meditators. Would you like to tell us about a lower price? Each chapter [lecture] is a variation, and one step deeper than the previous. The repetition is effective in a meditation-in-action way. By the end of the book, a feeling of self-empowerment on the spiritual and logical level definitely occurred for me.

This book should be read without too much intensity, as the logic will integrate itself in a tangible way, naturally; however, try to read only one chapter per day or two, so revvolution the proper reasoning can internalize and be used by adding the Right Conscious Effort as often as possible as a truly practical approach to developing personal confidence facing and accepting fears in seeing the world truthfully, learning to avoid habitual reactions, and to wake up in order to live life in the most meaningful and enlightened way.

Inward Revolution

Just remember to make this jrishnamurti a guide to Right Understanding and Action, not to use it as just another intellectual exercise.

Kindle Edition Verified Purchase. If you are a serious seeker of the truth then this book is for you. Krishnamurti puts forth the truth in a very straight forward manner, or rather he gets his listeners to bring it forth from their interactions with him. He wants the listener or reader to discover it for themselves rather than him telling them what revolktion is.

Very thought provoking and evocative, as it causes you to really see what you value and are you really jrishnamurti to give up all your prejudices and preconceived notions to find out what the truth is. It is not a religious treatise at all, it’s a very human approach to krishnamurri what is real and what is not. It then leads you to the Ultimate truth that exists and has always existed. He does not label God or anything krishnamurit as he believes that limits the unlimited.

Over the years, Revolutkon read almost all of his works and believe this is the pinnacle of his extensive works, and thus enjoyed it very much. It is humbling to be able to read the thoughts of such a great being as earth was blessed with his presence. Jiddu Krishnamurti has been one of the formative influences in my own life.

I still have a paperback edition of some of his lectures krishnamuryi I devoured as a fifteen year old. He had enormous personal presence and the orishnamurti of his teaching was amazing. The Dalai Lama described him as one of the greatest philosophers of the age, and I can only agree. This book is one of my favorites. Krishnamurti was always a practical philosopher: The book begins with the premise that if we are to bring about meaningful change in the world, then we revoltion have to change ourselves: One of the most attractive things about his work is that he always said that we should not rely on the authority of other people, because we come into this world equipped with an innate capacity to discern truth.

KENNETH POMERANZ THE GREAT DIVERGENCE PDF

Much of his teaching revolved around ways to reconnect with that ability. The book is based on a series of lectures – most with some questions and answers – so there is some repetition. That being said, if anything the repetition is useful: He covers many topics, from ways to live in harmony, to freedom, love and perception.

With clarity and compassion, Krishnamurti teaches us something that I am sure is true: If we carry on the ervolution way that we have for the last few thousand years, then no amount of technological innovation will save us.

The good news is that there is already evidence that many of us are changing and developing rapidly.

With profound understanding he provides instructions on how we can achieve this through observing our very own selves and through questioning what is rather than following blindly the modus operandi of our insane world.
